Your mind creates tension and can release it also. This program guides you to release tension. in these areas systematically.:

  • muscles of the low back - video link attached
  • extensor muscles of the back, neck, and shoulders
  • flexor muscles of the abdomen
  • muscles of the waist
  • muscles involved in trunk rotation
  • muscles of the hip joints and legs
  • muscles of the neck and shoulders

Watch a short video for each area. Your low back muscles usually tighten as a reaction to stress and microaggressions.  Muscle tension can cause discomfort and pain. Tightness reduces function and can influence your posture.

In time, you might experience stiffness, aches, and pains. This unfortunate state of affairs is blamed on ageing. Also, injuries and severe surgery while you are young can cause chronic muscular contractions and pain. 

However, you can reduce this tension slowly, a little at a time.  Somatic exercises are done lying on the floor or table. Move slowly and sensually, that is, attempt to feel the sensations as guided in the instructions. Allow your body to lead. Definitely avoid pain and even wincing.
